Building permit for historic villa in Frederiksberg
Yesterday we received building permit for the renovation of Steen Blichers Vej 22 - a residential villa in Frederiksberg designed in 1881 by professor and architect Christian L. Thuren and completed in 1886.
The property was originally built as a residence for engineer Philip Schou, owner of the Royal Porcelain Factory, and his family. Later the villa was sold to Engineer Valdemar Poulsen (inventor of the tape recorder).
The villa served as a private residence until 1937 when the property was partly converted into offices for the porcelain factory.
In 1970 the entire villa was used as office space for Royal Copenhagen until they sold the villa to Copenhagen Business School in 2002.
